In Colorado, What course of action should I take to get my personal property back from an ex-employer?
I was a home manager and lived and my place of employment. I left on a sour note and was refused access to my things. Less than half has been returned and I have been told not to return to get the rest. There was never any question of theft or anything of that sort, I lied about going to see my boyfriend and was fired in return. They have refused to pay me money they owe me, they stole the insides of my computer, and have refused to give me my personal property back, ie.; books, clothes, hygine, etc.. What should I do?
If the cop can't help you can take it to court. They can not keep your things legally.
